Conceptual Approach
The design approach for the clubhouse was based on a mini-resort style planning. Facilities included in the clubhouse are 14 guestrooms, restaurant, gym, spa, business centre, event hall, convenience store, kid’s club and outdoor exercise facilities, including a swimming pool. There are a few variety of meeting facilities planned in this clubhouse. An elevated covered pavilion that integrates with the external building architecture has views throughout the development, surrounding by a calming tranquil water body. This flexible space could host meetings, dining events, functions with an integrated bbq pit and the supporting kitchen nearby, and outdoor exercises ~ yoga, meditation.
The location of the clubhouse is adjacent to the security guardhouse. This positioning restricts the circulation of the visitors within the entrance zone and not encroaching on the private spaces of the internal villa network. The back of house/servicing strategy was also considered in this aspect as it limits the circulation of servicing vehicles’ ingress and egress.
The clubhouse external envelope retains the same design character, elements and materials as the villas throughout the development.
The Brief & Vision
Embassy Boulevard is an exclusive luxury gated community Off NH7, 12 kms before the Kempegowda International Airport and 13 kms from the Hebbal flyover. The 51 acre private residential enclave contains 170 detached villas, 28 parks, which constitute 5 acres of open space and a branded clubhouse.
As part of the Embassy Boulevard development, the clubhouse was intended to provide entertainment, sports, business and social amenities for the residents and their guests. The clubhouse was an alternative destination for entertaining any guests who are visiting the development and also a place where residents can still maintain the privacy of their home.
Sustainability Approach
Buggy charging areas are extensively planned to promote a cleaner and greener environment within the development.
As part of the initiative to reduce carbon footprint, the granite used within the landscape and feature walls were the local sadarahalli granite, where the quarry is a few kilometres away from the site.
