Conceptual Approach
The site provided was on a narrow site, with adject buildings and plots almost ‘touching’ one another. 171 residential units in total are planned within this tight footprint that maximises the building height of 21 floors, consisting of mainly 2BHK, 3BHK units and the top two levels of Penthouse units designed and oriented to maximise the views of Danang and the Han River in front.
Commercial spaces and F&B on the ground floor that fronts Bach Dang road that draws the pedestrian traffic from the streets and Han River promenade.
Being on a tight site, the amenities are carefully planned within the building, utilising the roof level space for a mini clubhouse with function facilities and communal pool providing residents the exclusive of these facilities. The swimming pool is designed to located at the roof front of the building, that opens out to the Han River.
The glass curtain wall exudes an aura of elegance and modernity within the backdrop of the surrounding building scape. The glass curtain wall also champions environmental sustainability. Its energy-efficient design minimizes the building's reliance on artificial lighting, harnessing the sun's natural illumination to illuminate the interior spaces, thus reducing the structure's carbon footprint.
The Brief & Vision
Nestled on the picturesque shores of the South China Sea, Danang stands as a vibrant and captivating city, effortlessly blending tradition and modernity into a seamless tapestry. The cityscape itself is a mesmerizing fusion of old-world charm and contemporary architecture. Majestic colonial buildings stand shoulder to shoulder with soaring skyscrapers, while colorful street markets contrast with sleek shopping centers. Danang's rapid development over the years has transformed it into a bustling metropolis, yet it remains grounded in its Vietnamese identity, cherishing its local customs and traditions.
Located in close proximity to the international airport, the brief was to design a luxury apartment with commercial spaces on the ground level. The building fronts the Han river with panoramic views around and the iconic dragon bridge as the scenic back drop.
