Marcus Chua

Head of Operations


Marcus brings over two decades of experience working in Singapore, with a diverse background in architecture, landscape design, interiors, and graphics. His design and project management expertise spans hospitality and residential projects across various countries, including Vietnam, China, Singapore, India, Mauritius, Fiji, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Syria, and Saudi Arabia.

Joining AFW in 2006, Marcus was appointed Head of Operations in 2020 and plays a diverse role in the office from business development to managing the setup and supervision of office management systems . He has been involved in a wide range of projects, from commercial and hospitality developments to master planning. Notably, he served as project design coordinator for the Westin Resort and Spa in Cam Ranh, Lubimaya Residence in Bangalore, NeoTown in Bangalore, and the Les Salines master plan in Port Louis, Mauritius. 

Marcus' architectural experience includes time at P & T Architects and Smallwoods Reynolds Stewart & Stewart, where he contributed to major projects like Chong Qing Olympic Garden and The Pearl in Qatar. His landscape architectural work at Belt Collins International saw him serve as project designer/coordinator for several prestigious projects, including the Westin Fiji Resort and Spa, Likuliku Lagoon Resort, and the Marriott Fiji.

Passionate about biophilic and environmentally sustainable design, Marcus strives to integrate these principles into his projects. He is also a strong advocate for mentorship, overseeing internship programs and aligning outcomes with educational courses to support career development.

Marcus is an accredited member of the Singapore Interior Design Society.
